Hydration
There are many factors to maintaining adequate hydration and cellular function.
In the Heal 30 program we focus on four main factors.
Sunlight, minerals, breathing and movement.

Dehydration is not just about how much water you drink. It's about the structure.

What Is Structured (EZ) Water?
When water interacts with hydrophilic (water-loving) surfaces like proteins, cell membranes, or collagen, it self-organizes into an ordered matrix. This process creates a negatively charged exclusion zone that actively repels toxins and solutes.
Chemically, EZ water resembles H₃Oâ‚‚ rather than Hâ‚‚O—a more structured form that is more viscous, negatively charged, and capable of storing and transmitting energy. In essence, structured water is biological intelligence in fluid form; it reduces entropy and supports cellular functions ranging from detoxification and protein folding to mitochondrial energy and tissue repair. Its presence is a key indicator of youthful, vital terrain.
It Works Like a Bio-Battery
EZ water forms a natural charge separation—a negative zone adjacent to the cell surface and a positive zone just beyond it. This electrical potential creates a bio-battery that powers numerous cellular processes, including ATP synthesis and ion transport.
Studies indicate that your cells run on light, electrons, and water structure, not just calories, with up to 70% of the energy required for cellular function potentially supported by light and water interactions.
The more structured water your cells hold, the greater the benefits:
* Higher energy levels
* Stronger detox pathways
* More efficient immune response
* Smoother fascia and lymph flow
* Faster healing and recovery
This is supported by scientific measurements of the voltage created by EZ water, which is directly linked to how cells maintain their bioelectric field and membrane charge.
How Is Structured Water Built?
Structured water is not obtained from the tap; it is built inside you. Creating a healthy "terrain" for EZ water depends on your lifestyle, environment, and nutrient intake. Key builders include:
1. Sunlight & Infrared Light
Morning sunlight (rich in red and near-infrared wavelengths) is crucial for activating structured water layers in tissues. It energizes mitochondria and enhances the water matrix. Sources like red light therapy, infrared saunas, firelight, and candlelight also stimulate EZ water formation. The sun is a powerful source of cellular hydration and electrical potential through EZ water.
2. Movement & Fascia Release
Physical motion (walking, stretching, rebounding) compresses and mobilizes water, helping it organize into structured zones. Healthy fascia holds gel-like EZ water. Practices like foam rolling and dynamic movement create mechanical signals that stimulate hydration structure. Stiffness and poor flexibility often reflect impaired water structuring in the fascia.
3. Grounding / Earthing
Barefoot contact with natural surfaces (grass, soil) allows the flow of free electrons into the body. These electrons stabilize the negative charge in the exclusion zone, neutralizing oxidative stress and supporting EZ water formation. Even 10–15 minutes daily can restore the body's voltage, which structured water relies upon.
4. Healthy Fats & Cell Membranes
EZ water forms along the cell membrane's phospholipid bilayer. Quality fats—such as cholesterol, omega-3s, and saturated fats—create the necessary scaffold for water structuring. Poor-quality fats (seed oils, oxidized PUFA) impair membrane integrity, disrupting water alignment and cellular electrical signaling.
5. Gel-Based Hydration
Many plant foods naturally contain structured water in a gel-like form. Aloe, cucumber, chia seeds, berries, bone broth, and collagen all offer intracellular hydration in a pre-structured matrix that mimics the hydrophilic structure your body builds and absorbs well when paired with minerals.
6. Mineral-Rich Electrolytes
Minerals like sodium, potassium, and magnesium create the electrical environment needed for water structuring and charge separation. Adding a pinch of high-quality sea salt or mineral drops to your water provides the ions necessary for voltage building. Without adequate minerals, water remains unordered (bulk) and cannot generate the necessary bioelectrical charge.
7. Breathwork, Meditation & Coherence
Parasympathetic dominance (relaxation) enhances hydration by increasing cell voltage and reducing oxidative stress. Practices like deep breathing and meditation increase coherence between the heart and nervous system, which has been shown to improve water structure in plasma. Stress oxidizes and breaks down EZ water; calm and presence rebuild it.
The Missing Link in Hydration.
True hydration is about structure, not just volume. You can drink plain water and still feel fatigued, foggy, or stiff if your cells are not structuring it properly.
Signs of poor water structuring include:
* Fatigue or dizziness despite adequate water intake
* Water retention, puffy face, or swollen hands
* Poor lymphatic drainage or cellulite
* Brain fog and stiff joints
* Immediate relief after grounding, sun exposure, or stretching
Structured water is the missing link for optimizing mitochondrial energy, detox drainage, brain clarity, fascia glide, DNA integrity, and heart/nerve conductivity.
Tip: Instead of chugging water, which can overwhelm the kidneys, sip consistently throughout the day, especially when paired with minerals or herbal infusions.
**BOTTOM LINE: Focus on building structured water through lifestyle choices to achieve optimal vitality and health.

Hydration & Sun Light

The vast majority of the water in our body is in the form of exclusion zone water, aka ( EZ water). EZ water has a negative charge.

This negative charge is what maintains a healthy cellular environment.
When the charge is depleted, cellular dysfunction ensues.
When the charge depletion reaches a critical threshold diseases including autoimmune conditions and cancer begin to develop.
One of the ways we can maintain EZ water is by exposing our bodies to infrared light (heat based forms of light) , such as sunlight camp fires, saunas and red light therapies..

Although sunlight is always my preferred method for red light exposure, this is not always possible. Thanks to technology we have more options.
Below are a few links to some of my preferred red light therapy products.

Hydration & Minerals

Water in the body exists with minerals. Water in nature also exists with minerals. Drinking mineral rich water as opposed to tapwater, distilled water and RO water is associated with better digestive, cardiovascular and mental health. Adequate mineral status helps balance, intercellular, and extracellular hydration and is essential to the healthy regeneration of all cells in the body.

My personal favorites for mineral supplements are

Hydration & Nasal Breathing

The oxygen we breathe gets delivered to the mitochondria to make intercellular water. Without enough oxygen we will be
dehydrated on a cellular level.

Nasal breathing leads to better tissue oxygenation, this means less pain, more energy and faster healing.

Mouth breathing leads to dehydration, stiffness, pain and slowed healing. We must nose breathe if we want our mitochondria to make water for cells. If we want to stay adequately hydrated.

The Heal 30 Returning To Movement program teaches in-depth nasal & diaphragmatic breathing techniques specific for managing stress, chronic inflammation, pain, and fatigue.

Hydration & Movement

Movement stimulates facial hydration. Remember, fascia is a primary pathway for quantum communication. If it is dehydrated, its ability to conduct electrons and photons decreases dramatically leading to loss of coherence.
Sustained tissue compression for 2 to 5 minutes, causes facial cells to start making Hyaluronic acid, a molecule that pulls in water like a sponge to reestablish healthy hydration.

In the Heal 30 Returning To Movement program we use multiple movement techniques and therapies to stimulate facial hydration.
