Grounding
Human beings function optimally when we have a slight negative charge, the same as the earth.
We achieve this naturally when we connect
electrically with the earth via grounding.
The natural rhythms of sunlight, lightning, and the earth’s hydrologic cycle charge the earth with an unlimited supply of negative ions.
When we humans are disconnected from the earth, our bioelectric potential and immune systems become deficient.
This happens more rapidly with exposure to man-made electromagnetic frequencies (cell phone, wifi, tv, tablets, smart meter etc.)
These man made forms of EMF affect the tissue repair processes and disturb immune function through stimulation of various allergic and inflammatory responses.
Grounding, also known as earthing, is the practice of connecting your body to the Earth's natural electric charge.

This can have many benefits for your health including:

-
Reducing blood pressure.
-
Speeding up wound healing.
-
Normalizing cortisol rhythm.
-
Relaxing muscles.
-
Reducing inflammation.
-
Improving sleep.
-
Reducing stress.
-
Improving mood.
-
Improving blood flow.

There are two fundamental changes that occur when you are grounded that are responsible for all of the science-backed benefits of earthing:
-
Reduced Inflammation
-
Regulated Circadian Rhythm

You can ground yourself by lying on the ground outside or by using a grounding system while you sleep or sit.
There are also some activities that connect you to the Earth, like swimming in the ocean or lakes, walking barefoot, rock climbing or anything else that allows your body to connect with the surface of the Earth.
It is recommended that participants in the Heal 30 program spend at least 15 to 30 minutes outside in contact with the ground every day when possible.

I have included links below, if you would like more information about grounding.

Full Body Grounding.

Perhaps one of the most effective ways to ground your body is to simply lay on the ground.

Make sure you have as much skin contact with the ground as possible. This works lying on grass, sand, dirt or rock.

You can also lay on a blanket made of natural fibers such as cotton, wool or hemp so long as the blanket is on the bare ground.

Barefoot Walking.

Walking barefoot is another great way to get grounded. The balls of the feet and the kidney one point in acupuncture are extremely effective for connecting the body to the energy felid of the Earth.
Alternative Grounding Methods.

As more and more scientific evidence has come out about the health benefits of grounding there has been a massive increase in companies and products designed to take advantage of this new therapeutic tool.

For people who do not have the option of getting outside or spend a lot of time in front of computers and other electronic devices there are several products available to help you get connected with the Earth.

Including :
-
Grounding mats
-
Bed sheets
-
Shoes / Sandles
-
Screen Glasses
-
and More.
